Week 28 of pregnancy

What's Happening with Baby
Your baby can now open and close their eyes and even has tiny eyelashes. They are growing steadily, now weighing about 2 1/4 pounds and measuring nearly 14 3/4 inches long (the size of a large eggplant).
A significant development is that approximately 96 percent of babies will now settle into a head-down position, getting ready for the final weeks of pregnancy.

What You Might Experience
As your belly continues to expand, the skin on your abdomen becomes more distended. This stretching can often dry it out and cause itching, a condition sometimes referred to as pruritus.
Remember to use a good product to moisturize your skin regularly to help soothe any discomfort.

Key Things to Keep in Mind
Here’s a practical tip to protect your abdominal muscles as they stretch. When you need to sit up from a lying-down position, try to always turn to your side first.
Then, use your arms to push yourself up. This simple technique helps you avoid making your abdomen work to get up, reducing strain on muscles that are already working hard.
