Week 25 of pregnancy

What's Happening with Baby
Your baby continues to grow rapidly, now weighing around 1 1/2 pounds and measuring about 13 1/2 inches long (the size of a head of cauliflower). Their nervous system is developing quickly, forming complex connections in the brain, spinal cord, and nerves that help your baby move, think, and feel.
They are also adding more fat to their body, which helps to make their skin look smoother and less wrinkly. Your baby continues to swallow amniotic fluid, a practice that helps their digestive system mature, and is capable of hearing sounds from the outside world, often responding to loud noises with sudden movements.

What You Might Experience
If you notice that your ankles and feet swell after you've been standing for a while, try to lie down with your feet elevated to help with circulation. However, if you ever experience sudden or severe swelling in your hands and face, it's important to call your health care provider right away, as this can be a sign of a more serious condition.
Some women also experience other common pregnancy symptoms like nasal congestion, nosebleeds, gum bleeding, skin rashes, or a harmless but copious vaginal discharge.

Key Things to Keep in Mind
You may have noticed that during pregnancy, your hair grows more and seems to fall out less, often feeling thicker and more lustrous. This is due to hormonal changes, and this process is typically reversed after delivery. Postpartum hair loss is common and can last for several months, but it's usually temporary.
What can you do about it? Continuing to eat a nutritious diet and taking your prenatal vitamins can help support healthy hair both now and after the baby arrives. For now, enjoy the extra volume
