Week 6 of pregnancy

What's Happening with Baby
Your baby's heart is now beating regularly, at a rapid pace of about 105 times per minute, though it's still too tiny to be heard without special equipment.
The basic structures that will form the limbs are appearing, looking like small buds.
Facial features are also beginning to emerge; the very early stages of the nose, mouth, and ears are starting to take shape.Even tiny fingers and toes are beginning to differentiate, though they are still webbed and very small.
Your baby is now roughly the size of a lentil or a small sweet pea.

What You Might Experience
Many of the early pregnancy symptoms you might have been feeling can continue or even become more pronounced this week as your hormone levels continue to rise.
A common change you may notice is in your breasts; they might feel fuller, more tender.
Fatigue can still be a significant factor, so listen to your body and rest whenever possible. Nausea or "morning sickness" may persist or even increase for some, and you might still find yourself needing to urinate more frequently.
It’s also common to experience mood swings or heightened emotions during this time.

Key Things to Keep in Mind
By this stage, it's important to have scheduled, or perhaps already had, your first prenatal appointment. Your healthcare provider will outline a schedule for regular checkups, which are often monthly in the early stages of pregnancy, to monitor your health and the baby’s progress.
Food safety is crucial during pregnancy to protect both you and your developing baby from potentially harmful foodborne illnesses like listeriosis and toxoplasmosis.
Be diligent about avoiding certain foods, including: unpasteurized dairy products (such as some soft cheeses), unpasteurized juices, raw or undercooked meats, poultry, and seafood, raw eggs or foods containing them, and pâtés.
As your body starts to change, you might begin to consider more comfortable clothing. While it might feel early, some of your regular clothes may start to feel a bit snug. Thinking about maternity wear or looser-fitting options now can help you stay comfortable as your pregnancy progresses.
Speaking of exciting developments, around this time, your baby's heartbeat can often be detected on our ultrasound. (Not all studios do it this early)
