Week 29 of pregnancy

What's Happening with Baby
Your baby is starting to put on weight fast! In fact, over the next couple of months, they will gain about half of their total birth weight. The brain is entering a period of rapid growth as more complex cells develop and begin to function. Remarkably, the brain can now help control rhythmic breathing as well as the baby's body temperature.
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and measures 15 inches long (the size of a butternut squash). To support this incredible growth spurt, it's more important than ever to eat healthy foods so your baby has all the nutrients they need.

What You Might Experience
A common and uncomfortable symptom you might experience is hemorrhoids, which are a form of varicose vein in the rectal area. They are more common during pregnancy due to the increased pressure from your growing uterus on the veins in your lower body.
For some women, they may not cause any discomfort, while for others, they can lead to frequent and severe inflammatory episodes. Be sure to discuss any discomfort with your doctor for advice on safe relief.

Key Things to Keep in Mind
Don't refrain from having fun and staying active! As long as you don't do it too strenuously, activities like dancing can be a great way to move your body and lift your spirits during pregnancy.
It is also very important to be aware of the signs of premature labor. Call your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as regular contractions, a change in vaginal discharge, pelvic pressure, or a dull backache.
