Week 11 of pregnancy

What's Happening with Baby
Your baby is entering a phase of very rapid growth, nearly doubling in size this week!
The placenta is now well-developed and fully functional, efficiently working to exchange vital nutrients from your body to your baby and remove waste products.
The fundamental structures of the skeleton are forming, and muscles are developing, allowing for more refined movements, even if you can't feel them yet.
Your baby is now about 1 1/2 inches long (roughly the size of a fig or a lime) and weighs around 1/4 of an ounce. While the bones are beginning to harden, they still have a way to go. Your baby's skin is still very thin and translucent, but it will gradually become less see-through.
A noticeable characteristic at this stage is that the head makes up about half of the baby's total length, reflecting the rapid brain development occurring.

What You Might Experience
By now, the absence of menstruation is a clear sign of pregnancy. You might experience some slight discomfort in your pelvis as your uterus continues to grow and ligaments stretch.
It's also very common to notice an increase in vaginal secretions; this is a normal physiological change during pregnancy.
Many women find that some of the more intense early pregnancy symptoms, like nausea, may begin to subside around this time as hormone levels start to stabilize a bit, although this varies greatly from person to person.

Key Things to Keep in Mind
Pregnancy can bring about some uncomfortable digestive side effects. You might experience indigestion and heartburn, which can sometimes make enjoying your favorite foods a challenge.
This is often due to the hormone progesterone, which can slow down digestion, and the expanding uterus putting increasing pressure on your stomach and intestines.
To help manage these discomforts, try eating smaller portions more frequently throughout the day rather than three large meals.
It can also be beneficial to avoid spicy, fatty, or very rich foods that you find trigger these symptoms. Listening to your body and adjusting your eating habits can make a big difference.
