Week 9 of pregnancy

What's Happening with Baby
Your little one is making incredible progress and is starting to look more like a miniature baby!
This week, your baby is approximately 1 inch long (about the size of a grape or an olive) and weighs around 0.07 ounces. The head is still quite large in proportion to the body, but important features are becoming more defined.
You might be fascinated to know that tiny limb movements are happening, and if you could peek inside, you might see the baby bending its arms and legs.
Even though your body might only be showing slight outward signs of pregnancy, some suggest that talking to your baby can be a wonderful way to bond and may even stimulate their early development.
Remarkably, tiny buds that will eventually become your baby's teeth are forming within the gums.

What You Might Experience
As your body continues to dedicate energy to supporting your growing baby, you might feel particularly tired and find you need more sleep.
This is a very common experience as your metabolism and hormone levels adjust. You may also notice an increased need to urinate more frequently. This is often due to the growing uterus putting some pressure on your bladder, as well as hormonal changes.
Your entire body is undergoing adjustments due to these hormonal shifts. For instance, to support your oral health and protect your gums, which can become more sensitive during pregnancy, ensuring you get enough vitamin C through foods like citrus fruits, berries, and bell peppers can be beneficial.

Key Things to Keep in Mind
Gentle exercise can be very beneficial during pregnancy, helping with energy levels and overall wellbeing. Walking is often an excellent and safe option. However, it's always important to check with your doctor before starting or significantly changing any exercise routine.
Being well-informed can help you feel more prepared and confident as your pregnancy progresses.
This can be a good time to start learning about different techniques for managing discomfort or pain during labor and to begin thinking about your preferences for your birth plan.
Knowledge empowers you on this incredible journey.
