FAQs
What Does 4-D Means?
The fourth dimension is time. A 4-D ultrasound is a moving 3-D image of your baby. Any yawn, eye-opening, or thumb-sucking will be seen and captured on the video.
Is The 4-D Ultrasound Safe?
Ultrasounds have been used since the 1950s. To date there have been no documented side effects of ultrasound imaging. In fact, Doctors of high risk pregnancy patients tend to perform more frequent ultrasounds in order to keep an eye on the developing fetus. However, it is your choice to have an ultrasound and we always suggest that you speak with your doctor before scheduling a 4-D ultrasound.
How Soon Can We Find Out The Gender Of Our Baby?
We can tell you the baby’s gender as early as 15 weeks.
When Is The Best Time To Come and Get A 4-D Ultrasound?
There is no bad time to have an ultrasound. Each trimester offers new and exciting details. Many of our guests like to start early and come more than once to watch their baby develop. If you choose to have only one 4-D ultrasound, the best time to have one is between 27 and 34 weeks in order to get the cutest "chubby-cheek" pictures.
Can You Tell Me My Due Date and If There Is Anything Abnormal With My Baby?
No. We offer non-medical, non-diagnostic ultrasounds. Our services provide you an opportunity to bond with your baby and are intended for the enjoyment of you and your family. We stress the importance of regular prenatal care and would rather have you see a physician before you see us.
Why Is A 4-D Ultrasound So Expensive?
We use the GE Voluson machine which creates the highest quality 4-D images. In addition, our ultrasound technicians are fully trained with years of experience.
Do You Accept Insurace / Medicaid?
No. Because we are non-medical and non-diagnostic we are unable to bill insurance companies. We do accept cash, credit, and debit cards.
Do You Accept Walk-ins?
No, we are open by appointment only. Call ahead for an appointment that fits within your schedule.
My Ultrasound Pictures Were Not As Clear As My Friend's. Why Is This?
Image quality depends on many things to include the level of amniotic fluid, position of the baby, and the amount of tissue between the probe and the baby. While we strive to provide you with the bestpossible pictures of your baby, these variables might affect the quality of your pictures.
Can I Bring My Family and Friends To My Ultrasound?
You are welcome up to 6 family members and/or friends to accompany you through your appointment. We also welcome children, though we do recommend that you bring someone to help with very small children. Many parents cannot enjoy seeing the new baby while wrestling a crying toddler, or trying to entertain a preschooler etc. It can be a wonderful time of bonding for all involved.
